About myself and the type of person I would like to meet.
I like to think of myself as an intelligent girl who appeals as a confident, dynamic and attractive personality with a flair for witty, intriguing conversations. I try to maintain a reasonable balance between eastern values which uphold family ties and spirituality, as well as a western outlook which encompasses cosmopolitan and independent thinking.
My work gives me the opportunity to travel to several countries of the world. Having travelled already to a few European countries, I am at ease with foreign culture and am happy to combine my career aspirations with my passion for travel. I love challenges and enjoy reading, listening to music, theatre, adventure sports and taking long walks in natural surroundings.
I consider myself fortunate to be part of a well-educated, close-knit and loving family who have taught me to how to be an independent, modern thinking woman without compromising on my faith in Sikhism wherever I may go.
While I do subscribe to the 'arranged system of marriage', at the same time, I also hope that I am able to forge a friendly, comfortable and understanding tie before I reach the stage of total commitment. My parents and I would hope for an alliance from Gursikh men from well-educated backgrounds. The potential partner would be a well-settled, smart, goodlooking, Non-Trimmer Gursikh who is ardently ambitious and a high-achiever, active in sports and passionate about life, mature but still retaining his boyish innocence and wit, and one who treats his wife as a confidante, equal partner and a best friend in the journey of life.
