About myself and the type of person I would like to meet.
So I should probably make this interesting, well here goes I'll try to describe myself as best as possible but it's kinda hard to do because I'm not really used to talking about myself. I like to be honest, conscientious, loyal, and am a very family oriented person, who is very close to her parents, siblings, and close friends.
I absolutely love to read and watch movies and try to fit it in however I can in my busy schedule (balancing work, part-time Masters, and family isn't that easy!)
I have many acquaintances, but my true friends I can only count on one hand. I've been with them since grade school. Collecting memories in this journey of our life is important to me, I even have a box hiding under my bed. If you're lucky, you might find yourself in it one day. :) And no prize for guessing the photographer of the family :) hehehe Yes you guessed it right, I'm the one and also loves to keep the album up to date. My other passion? you ready for this? I love to organize and enjoy keeping things neat and clean. :) Well.....most of the time. :)
Oh and did I mention that I love to do bhangra? Well I definately do!!
I'm all about being green and saving the Earth. I take my own bags to the store and if I have to drive 10 miles to recycle, you'll find me there. :)

Something I would like to do but haven't done before
I'd like to go New Mexico and participate in Summer Solstice which is a weeklong get together of American Sikhs and/or like minded people, started by Yogi Bhajan.
I'd like to learn how to sing shabads in raags well. I'm trying my best now but its a definite work in progress.
What being a Sikh means to me.
To be a Sikh means being a learner. thats what I'm trying to do. At this minute, my quest is to learn to mediate and be mindful and to notice the simple beautiful things in life. I feel like this is a question that can't be answered in a few lines. Its an inner spiritual journey where everyone comes to determine what it means to them. It def helps going to the gurudwara and listening to kirtan and katha.
My Favorite books, music, songs, movies, etc.
Books: Lately been reading alot of nonfiction. I love Malcom Gladwell. I like to throw some fiction in there to change it up sometimes.
Music: I love anything by Snatam Kaur, def love bhangra and the top ten songs on the radio
Movies: my all time fave movies: A time to kill & the last of the mohicans & kisna and The Last Samurai
